Motley Crue Live 2005

Tonight Motley Crue are playing at Rockfest in Cadott, WI. Even though I have tickets for the entire weekend I'll have to miss them as we have a prior engagement. This was recorded last May at the KROQ Weenie Roast in which they headlined.

Artie Lange vs. Andrew "Dice" Clay on The Howard Stern Show 4/18/06

VS.

Setup from the 7-17-06 HS show: Artie brought up how he performed some standup gigs with Andrew Dice Clay during the vacation, but added he earned only $5,000 for his time, a total he still hadn’t gotten from Dice. Artie then commented he figured he would’ve made closer to $10,000 for the 20-minute sets he did with Dice, who he said was the one responsible for giving him the money. Artie next mentioned he made “a lot of money” at the stand-up shows he did over the break by himself in Pittsburgh, but admitted he was “seething mad” because he hadn’t gotten the money he earned from Dice even though it’d been 10 days since the shows they did together. This is the mp3 of Artie going after "Dice" the next day on the phone. Where's the $5,000? (Ez Archive)

Seal: Live

I got the new Ziggy Marley record today and it got me to thinking about my last trip to Jamaica in 2000. It's funny but that was my honeymoon and with Steph pregnant now it will be awhile until I can get back there. Anyhow, while we were there I fell in love with the music of Seal. For some reason we were out on a boat and they only had two tapes that played all day, a mix of Bob Marley and a Seal tape. I love the Marley clan but something just clicked with me on that day for Seal. Never underestimate the power of music and its setting. So here you go, Seal Live in Los Angeles sometime in the '90's.

deadboy & the Elephantmen on Indie 103

I was cleaning up some stuff on my computer and came across this podcast from LA's Indie 103.1. Deadboy & The Elephantmen on Tk's show doing a small interview and two live songs. Audio file is about ten minutes long.

Jimmy Eat World Live (2005)

I first got into Jimmy Eat World around '96. Gameface had opened for them on the UCLA campus. Static Prevails was the first Cd I got of theirs and liked it a lot. I saw them a couple times at Koo's Cafe and local venues around Orange County. Bleed American came out and it quickly replaced whatever was in my cd player at the time. When we took a trip to the British Virgin Islands in 2001 Bleed American was one of three cd's I listened to for the entire week non-stop. It's been ten years and I still look forward to their releases. This was recorded of the web in 2005.
